Office of the Secretary-General:

 

  • performs the most demanding expert and organisational tasks for discharging the duties of the Secretary-General of the Government and co-ordinates the implementation of the Government’s Rules of Procedure;
  • advises the Secretary-General on issues under his/her responsibility;
  • prepares proposals of general legal acts issued or proposed by the Secretary-General to the Government for adoption;
  • forms legal opinions and provides legal advice to departments and services of the Secretariat-General and to government services;
  • tracks and coordinates the work of government services under the responsibility of the Secretary-General and the work of the departments and services of the Secretariat-General, providing them with expert assistance in their working area, in the area of finances, and equipment and supplies, the procurement programme and the programme for the sale of physical assets and spatial issues;
  • tracks the media, cooperates with the public and implements the Access to Public Information Act;
  • assigns unresolved issues to internal organisational units for further consideration;
  • provides expert assistance in organising and providing technical security for premises and documentation, fire safety and safety at work of government services under the responsibility of the Secretary-General, the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia and the Office of the President of the Republic of Slovenia;
  • organises and provides technical security for premises and documentation, applies fire rules and house rules, and enforces safety at work in the Secretariat-General;
  • performs administrative and technical tasks;
  • performs other tasks assigned by the Secretary-General.
