| Division for the Work of Government Councils and Other Expert Working Bodies |

- prepares, organises and conducts the meetings of the Economic and Social Council and other Government working bodies, subject to the order of the Secretary-General;
- coordinates work between the competent ministries, Government Offices, representatives of civil society, professional organisations and institutions and/or social partners in relation to the documents under consideration;
- participates in the preparation and review of documents for meetings;
- draws up meeting proceedings, as well as positions and decisions for the Government, Ministries, Government Offices and other institutions;
- prepares, organises and conducts negotiations on the social agreement, wages policy agreement or other negotiations at the tripartite level, based on the decision of the Economic and Social Council, as well as meetings of various working groups under the ESC;
- cooperates with the European Economic and Social Committee and its bodies, International Association of Economic and Social Councils and other such institutions, as well as with the Economic and Social Councils of the EU Member States and other states;
- provides for the communication of various appointments, documents and notices between foreign institutions, ministries, government offices and social partners;
- organises working meetings and other necessary activities on the occasion of the visits of foreign delegations at the Economic and Social Council, as well as participation at working meetings, meetings and conferences organised by European institutions in the field of work of the economic and social councils;
- monitors the implementation of positions and decisions;
- provides administrative and technical support required for the operation of the department.
