- prepares analytical, statistical and descriptive data, information, implemented decisions, and reports related to the work of the Government and its working bodies on relevant issues and topics and on project tasks;
- performs tasks for superiors in rank in their exercising of their rights and duties as employers;
- performs tasks in the area of personnel management;
- performs technical tasks related to developing and implementing the policy of safety and health at work;
- ensures the availability of professional literature and periodicals;
- keeps civil servants informed and ensures cooperation with the Trade Union of the Secretariat-General of the Government of the RS;
- performs administrative and technical tasks related to the work of the Division
For tasks within the narrower scope of a work field or individual positions, the following departments have been established:
Analysis Section
Performs tasks related to:
- following-up European legislation with reference to specific fields of work of the Secretariat-General, government services, commissions, and councils;
- managing the monitoring system for sessions of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and its working bodies;
- preparing analytical, statistical and descriptive data, information, implemented decisions, and reports on the work of the Government and its working bodies on relevant issues and topics and on project tasks;
- preparing and revising the annual report on the work of the Government and the annual work programme of the Government;
- preparing and managing a benchmark database and archives related to reports on the Secretariat-General in the Slovene media;
- collecting and processing technical data from foreign sources and researching foreign databases;
- cooperating in international exchange of data that are of professional relevance;
- cooperating in the preparation of the Secretariat-General’s website;
- preparing, implementing and organising various information for civil servants employed by the Secretariat-General;
- tracking directly the sessions of the National Assembly.
Personnel Section
Performs tasks related to:
- implementing professional tasks in the area of labour rights and obligations of employees in the Secretariat-General, the Office of the Prime Minister and government services, according to the regulations in force;
- monitoring the implementation of internal acts of the Secretariat-General and of the implementing regulations of the Government within specific fields of work;
- preparing internal and individual acts in the area of the rights and obligations of civil servants;
- organising training and advanced training as well as education of civil servants;
- exercising employment relationship rights;
- calculating the salaries and other personal income of employees;
- keeping personnel records and files;
- assisting heads of organisational units in assuring health and safety at work;
- administrative and technical support required for the operation of the Service.
Library
- Carries out the following tasks for the Secretariat-General of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Office of the Prime Minister:
- managing the library;
- purchasing and technical processing of library materials (books, technical literature, newspapers, other periodicals, etc.);
- lending and keeping records of library materials;
- registering incoming daily newspapers and other periodicals and preparing them for distribution to employees;
- updating the Register of Internal Regulations of the Secretariat-General;
- updating the databases on seminars and courses;
- preparing verbatim records of government sessions;
- making reservations of premises for the sessions, ordering media service and catering for them.
